We seek funding under following three heads of investment
Growth Fund (Funding Pit) – These funds are investment oriented funds that shall be reimbursed by the individual schools back to the foundation as a conscious self sustaining initiative.
- Incubation – These funds will be deployed as a mechanism to support initial marketing, screening for new locations and operational activities for setting up of new schools (recruitment etc). These funds are supposed to act as catalyst for school growth. However, given the exploratory nature of these expenses, foundation can only commit to be redeploy 10% of first 2 years of schools collections back under this head. This shall help ensure a leverage of these funds for the investor.
- Capital Deposits (Development Finance) – Funds in this deposit will be utilized to create the physical infrastructure for the school. The foundation will commit an annual return of 3% on the loans taken under this fund, with a gestation period of 10 years.
Charity Funds given for Capital Infrastructure can be re-deployable for similar activities instead of a physical repayment as a loan
Charitable Fund
- These are specific donations intended to support purely philanthropic one time activities like
- Free education to some needy students (with merit)
- Income support / training cost / job placement expenses for poor families
- Any other costs (books, stationary etc) related to educating at a subsidized rate by the schools
- Funds in above two categories of the funding pit, these can be re-deployed as we expand the school network
